Pastors Greg and Brenda Summers

This is one of the most important ministries of the local church and is NOT a baby sitting service.  The goal of this ministry is to impact the life changing truths of God's Word into these young hearts in a way that is fun and understandable to them so that they can walk at a young age in the victory and liberty that Jesus has for them.

In the past, our Children's Pastors have worked at Rhema Bible Church/Kenneth Hagin Ministries, Trinity Christian School (a Christian School, grades K-12 in Broken Arrow, OK) and volunteered at Rhema Children's Ministry. They graduated in 2001 from Domata School of Missions Ministry.  They are licensed and ordained through Association of Faith Churches and Ministers.  They have 3 children: Jamie, Amber and Aaron.

KIDS OF FAITH

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy..." (Acts 2:17)

If a five year old came up to you and ministered and prophesied to you, would you receive it?  Mark 9:37 says, "Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me, but Him Who sent Me."

Our children are not the church of the future.  They are the church right now.  And God wants to use them right now, just like He wants to use you.  That is why we, at Living Faith Christian Center, are determined that all children not just know about God, but they know God and they flow with God and in the gifts of the Spirit.  Children can be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit and we intend to nurture that sensitivity and watch God make them bloom.

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."  Parents can help their children choose God over the world.  Many parents fail to recognize the fact that God is not going to hold the church accountable for the spiritual rearing of their children.  It is the parents job to teach their children about God according to His Word.  It is sin if parents fail to do so.  Here are some practical things you should be doing with your children:

bulletGive time each day to worship God with your children, sing and dance and lift your holy hands and shout unto the Lord.
bulletRead the Bible 5-10 minutes a day to your children.
bulletPray with each of your children over all their needs.
bulletLive the life of love before your children.
bulletIf you'll turn your heart to God, your children will also.

Parents and grandparents, we encourage you to become a part of your local church's children's ministry.  This is one of the most challenging ministries but also one of the most rewarding.
