A LIFE OR DEATH DECISION

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NKJV) 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN?

John 3:3 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Without being born again or born from above you cannot see the kingdom of God. Being born again is also called the New Birth or being saved (receiving salvation). It refers to our receiving Jesus as our own substitute in taking our place and bearing the penalty for man’s sins on the cross. Jesus became sin so that we could receive a new nature in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

When man sinned, he took on the nature of Satan, the nature of death. That is why good works will not save you and cause you to go to heaven. Going to church will not save you. Because, every person who is born into this earth since Adam, has been born into this earth with the nature of Satan, a sin nature. Man's problem is not an outward one, but an inward one. To be saved and enter into the kingdom of heaven, man must be born again. He must have his nature changed. Jesus came into this earth, born of a virgin, born of the Holy Spirit and not of man, born with the nature of God. He came to take upon Himself the penalty for sin so that we could receive His nature, the nature of life. He died and was raised from the dead so that your nature could be changed through faith in Him.

We receive this new nature by repenting (turning away from sin) and making Jesus Christ the Lord or Master of our lives.

Matthew 9:13 (NKJV) But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

Luke 24:47 (NKJV) and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Matthew 4:17 (NKJV) From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Acts 3:19 (NKJV) Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 (NKJV) For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

John 3:36 (NKJV) He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

When you make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life the Bible says you are now one with Him. He bought and paid for you so that you should no longer serve Satan but Him. You have past from death to life. You are no longer a child of Satan but of God. As God’s child we are to imitate Him (Ephesians 5:1).

1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

2 Corinthians 5:15 (NKJV) and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

John 5:24 (NKJV) "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV) Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Pray this prayer to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior and be born again.
DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD YOU SAID THAT IF I CONFESS WITH MY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS AND BELIEVE IN MY HEART THAT YOU RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD I WOULD BE SAVED. I BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD AND THAT YOU RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD AND I ASK YOU LORD JESUS TO COME INTO MY HEART, CHANGE ME AND BE MY LORD AND MY MASTER.   I TURN AWAY FROM MY OLD LIFE, I TURN AWAY FROM SIN. I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE IN THE WAY THAT PLEASES YOU.   FATHER YOU SAID THAT WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED, I THANK YOU THAT I AM SAVED NOW. I THANK YOU THAT I HAVE PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE, I HAVE A NEW NATURE, I AM NOW A BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD, AND I WILL SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD. I WILL SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE FOR I AM YOUR PROPERTY. I AM NOT MY OWN.   I BELONG TO YOU. SATAN IS NO LONGER MY LORD AND MASTER BUT JESUS IS.   IAM ONE WITH JESUS AND YIELD MY LIFE TO YOU TO LIVE FOR YOUR GLORY IN THIS EARTH.

Now that you have made Jesus Christ your Lord you are a new creature in Christ Jesus, old things have passed away behold all things are new (2 Corinthians 5:17). But in order to walk in this new life, you are going to need someone to help you. The purpose for the local church is to help you grow in the knowledge of God and receive all that He has for you.    The local church is a place where you are to serve God along with other believers to accomplish God’s will in this earth. Like any wonderful father, God has a lot planned for you. God has called this church to be “People Builders”.   We build up the body of Christ to be all that God wants them to be. Let us help you to discover the riches of the glory of His inheritance and be a blessing to others too.
